The last 24 hours 81 forest fires broke out in various regions in Greece. At the moment there are 40 forest fires active in entire country. The six of them are the more serious. Those are, in Rhodes Island, in Kos Island, in Evia Island, in Messinia (Peloponnese), in Eastern Mani (Peloponnese) and in Varympompi (in the region of Attica). In all of these forest fires, organized evacuations took place.
